Magnus makes his first visit to our beautiful beaches.

Magnus visits Two Lovers Point, a popular tourist spot on Guam. In short the legend goes...a Chief's daughter fell in love with a soldier...the Chief will not let them marry....they run off together and the Chief chases them to the point...rather than be seperated,
they tie their hair together and jump.

Magnus just hangin with the locals bbq style at one of the most beautiful beaches in the world, Tumon Bay, Guam.

Magnus and me (Barbara) at the Guam South Pacific Memorial Peace Park. Dedicated to those who lost their lives during the occupation and liberation of Guam during WWII.

Magnus stops for some shade (cause its really hot here) at the Guam Tropical Botanical and Marine Garden.

The Mascot went to Austin, Texas and the surrounding Hill Country for a photo op. The the folks atequestrianaccidents.magnify.net were our gracious hosts.

CapricornHorse's channel is about equestrian accidents, and Mascot (now known as Magnus) was all duded up riding gear.  Ok,  maybe he didn't win the blue ribbon, but he sure looked good holding one.

What do you think about the Cowboy hat?  Nice Touch?

Hi,

I'm Judy Kennedy, My Magnify site is Sonoran Desert Wildlife and Other Animals. www.SonoranDesertwildlife.magnify.net.   I've got a very distinct collection of Sonoran Desert wildlife videos.  You can't get a better backdrop for a photo op than the Sonoran Desert wilderness which is where I'm very fortunate to live -- specifically in the heart of the Haley Hills about 60 miles south of Phoenix, Arizona.

Here's are some Pix of my visit with the Mascot,  more on the way!

Kickin' back at the ranch... The little guy tries on my headwear for size.

What planet did you see he comes from? Planet New York? Oh, THAT explains everything. (JUST kidding...)

Table mountain looms in the distance. It's an important landmark for those poor souls migrating from Mexico. Many have died in its shadow. If they're lucky to make it that far, they've reached the first US Interstate north of the border.

Here we are sitting midway on the trail taking a break under a palo verde tree next to an arroyo (small wash). Palo verde means "green wood" in spanish. As you can see, the bark is green. These trees make beautiful yellow flowers in the springtime and attract bees. However, the tree is very thorny -- like most plants in the desert.

This is right before his unfortunate fall...

I put myself in this picture so you could see the scale of these things
•- they're huge! And as you can see, they're fruiting. In the spring they put out these beautiful white flowers that attract bats that feed on their nectar at night. The blooms turn into red fruit which feeds countless other creatures, including people -- the Indians harvested them.

\Here's the quintessential Arizona Sonoran Desert icon -- the giant saguaro cactus. (Pronounced "swaro" -- the g is silent.) The plant that is kindly
supporting Magnify Man is an Ocotillo. They make beautiful firey red-orange blooms in the springtime.

It started with this email:

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I live just outside of Toronto and can offer quite a few different photo's of the travelling mascot.   CN Tower  /  Niagara Falls  / etc.
But, the one that I would like to do the most would be to take the Mascot fishing with me for WomenFishing ... I think it would be cute to see him catching a bass.
Magnify site   www.womenfishing.magnify.net Thanks again
Terri MacKinnon

And just a few days later - our little guy was on the water!  Here are some pix... and the video below is amazing.  Next stop... New Mexico - should be amazing.  Keep sending invites,  he's going to travel 'round the world. (after New Mexico, Nigeria!).  WorldTour@magnify.net if you've got a location that wants to be a stop on the tour!
